We often get many customers ask us what the difference is between the 500 Series & 510 Series Coilover. This page has been made to address that very question. Now, most people thing that the main difference is that the 500 Series is for the road and the 510 is for the track, but there's much more to the story than that. The key to the story, is the CFD Piston. Something not featured on the 500 Series Coilover.
80% Lighter than its predecessor, the CFD Piston features oversized digressive flow ports and a pressure ring. This pressure ring allows the shim stack to be preloaded.
The CFD Piston enables more control over pitch, roll and dive. This keeps the car flat in corners. The internal blow off effect produced by the CFD Piston also keeps the car stable when hitting curbs at high speeds.
One of the best things about the 510 Series (& Dreadnought) Coilover is it's adjustability. The ultra wide range of damping force adjustment is an invaluable tool for racers who need multiple spring rates.
